Terms and Conditions for Hillhead Farm B&B


Welcome: Thank you for choosing to stay at Hillhead Farm.  We look forward to welcoming you to our working family farm.  When making a booking you are entering into a legal contract with us.  Please take the time to read our terms and conditions of booking.  We reserve the right to refuse admission, without necessarily giving a reason.  We regret that we no longer offer accommodation for children. 

Price: The price includes accommodation with breakfast.  We accept cash, cheques (please make payable to Mrs Jane Johns) and debit or credit cards except Amex or Diners Club.  The balance of your bill (less deposit) is to be paid at the time of departure.

Deposits and Cancellations: To secure your accommodation a deposit of 25% is payable within seven days of booking.  Short notice bookings require a deposit of 50%.  If a deposit is not received within the seven days, the accommodation will be relet. This deposit is non-refundable, unless there are exceptional circumstances.  If you cancel up to seven days before your intended stay, you will not be liable for the whole balance.  For cancellations made after this time or failing to arrive, you would be liable for two thirds of the total amount, unless we are able to relet the room/s.  Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel.  You may wish to take out holiday cancellation insurance.  We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation became unavailable for reasons beyond our control.  In such a situation we would try to find alternative accommodation for you, but if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would, of course, make you a full refund.  

Arrival: Between 5pm and 8pm is most convenient, but please let us know if another time is more suitable for you.
Departure:  By 11am on the morning of departure, please.

Damages and Breakages: Please respect our home.  You are responsible and liable for any damage or breakages caused during your stay.  We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but please report any damage to us as soon as possible.  We may send you a bill for repairs if the damage is significant.

Liability: We will not be held liable for any accident or personal injury to guests, or loss or theft of property or vehicles, unless proven to be caused by negligence on the part of ourselves or our employees.

Data:  Any data collected during your stay may be held on our computer, but will not be released to any third party.

Pets:  We regret that pets are not permitted in the house.
